Thank you so much for your sweet words. I’m sure as well that you’re an amazing and wonderful mother. How many children do you have? Are you married? And I gave your congratulations to my husband. You get kind regards back as well. And you wanted to know the names of my children. My daughters name is Rinoa. And we named my son Ryan. Love both names. What are the names of your children?
I just brought my friend from the UK back to the airport. I already miss her A LOT! But we already made plans to see each other again. She might come back this year to visit me. And next year I’m going to visit. We also met a common friend of us. And we had an amazing day. He brought his boyfriend with him and we made some incredible photo’s.
And I’m sure you will meet your friends as well. Your still young, and don’t think things are impossible. If you put your head in it, it will definitely happen.
Thank you for the outreach! I've been ill and offsite for a while - I hope I didn't keep you waiting! as a thank you, here's my favorite picture of Mr. Pattinson.
Even the best things come to an end. I thought at first that things had happened that way because mum needed me to be around more. Turns out it happened so that Jos and I could meet and fall in love.
You are very lucky to have met your Edward when you did and that you have been able to built your lives together. The thing is: I did meet Jos 37 years ago. He was my penpall from Holland. But, when you are a teenager, 200 kilometers is a long way off. So we lost sight of each other and then, last year in april, I got a friendships request over facebook. And a couple of days later he stood on my doorstep. We went to visit Brussels that day and he told me he fell in love all over again from that first moment. It took me a bit longer, After all, I had not had a relationship before. (If you don't count the crushes I had as a teenager). But now I am over the moon and madly in love and eager to start living my life with him. The 200 kilometers is still a difficulty as he has his job over in The hague and I cannot leave mum... but the weekends are a start.
You can probably tell how my first short story turned out to be a trilogy, eh? Lol
Anyway, tell me more about yourself. I know you have been an actress. I would love to hear more about that.
With that story told I felt the story on Elisabeth was complete. As I didn't know if I would be able to write anything other than that story I tried something else. I just started writing and looked where that took me. It turned out to be something of a thriller, allthough it is also a lovestory. Three Boys and a Violin has absolutely nothing to do with 3 boys or even a violin and it isn't till page 157 that the reader finds out why it is the title. I found that quite amusing. This story is about a girl who looses her entire family in a gasexplosion only to find out she was "adopted" or rather, bought as a baby. She sets out to find her real parents and in her search unraveles a network of illegal adoptions.
The funny part being that I found out what happened as she discovered it. I had no idea where the story would go as I was writing it. So, sometimes I thought: he did it, just to have to admit after a while he couldn't have. It really came over that way on the readers because one person told me I wrote as good a thriller as Gerritsen and Patterson together. High praise indeed.
Writing was a great experience and I hope to be able to write again someday, maybe about my experience with living with somebody with Alzheimer.
I am sorry to hear your daughter also lost her job. These are hard times. The problem with loosing one's job is not only being without income but loosing one's selfconfidence at the same time. For 32 years I had been the head of the bookdepartment, I watched my clientele growing up and having children of their own. I helped young readers get started and talked about books with older clients. I thought it would last till my pension and even then I thought I might want to continue. It was more a hobby than a job.
I'm fine thank you. Waiting for my loved one as it is friday and he comes after work.
The trilogy (Faith, hope and love) is a family saga. It started out as one book that was so thick I had to split it up in two. Those two tell the story of Elisabeth, a Ghent-born young orphaned girl that finds out het mother's family left her a house in England. The mostly rundown place isn't much to look at but she meats a mysterious man on the moors.... from then on she decides Yorkshire is the place for her.
The story tells of all the friends she meets on het life yourney that passes with ups and downs, the loves she knows and her family. But it also tells of the 2 worldwars, as the book spans the whole 20 th century, and two continents as she travelles to the Australian outback just before WW 2.
As I finished the last line of the book my phone rang and it was a friend of mine who asked if I wanted to go to his booklaunch. I went ofcourse and asked him how long it took before you could write another story. He told me it took a couple of weeks but that a second book was allmost allways a follow up on the first because your head and heart were still so full of the characters you created. I decided I didn't want to wait that long and wrote what would become the 3rd part of my trilogy. It was the story of one of Elisabeths grandchildren. That book took me to the US and Hawaii, so the trilogy is quite a globetrotter. haha
We are going to Brabant. Landal Greenparks. Not sure you ever heard of it. LOL. Anyway it's a nice place. And thanks, we sure will enjoy. Take care and let you know when I'm back. Inge.xx
