The walk home wasn't all that long and Peyton was thankful for that. Usually it took a little while because of railroad crossings nearby the main road she lived on but tonight the train must have passed already. It was better off anyway, since there was no way she felt like waiting that long just to get home.
Of course, once she walked through the door, she expected the house to be awake and alive. It definitely was, Coraline was still sitting cuddled into the couch, continuing her commission. Poor thing probably worked on it all night to make it perfect. In the kitchen, Gwyneth and Clair were arguing about something she had no concern for.
Nudging past the two, she went for her home phone, quickly dialing up Jefferson to let him know she was home.
Jenna: All through the ride, she can't help but to sneak glances at him. She had grown to really like and trust him. Without all of his help, she would still probably be in her hell hole of her house, living with her father. she really wanted to find out more about him. " You had any girlfriends before ? " She was really curious. Crossing her legs, she smiled as she turned slightly to look at him. She was sure that someone like him had have alot of experience with girls. He was really attractive and would be easily mistaken as a male model, with his strong jawline, sharp nose, beautiful eyes, full lips and perfect skin. This guy was really something for making her think that much about him. Smirking, she sat Indian style on the car seat.
Nodding her head at Jefferson, Peyton took everything he said seriously. The worry he was probably feeling was probably worse that what he was conveying it to be.
"I'll be careful. Don't worry too much for me, okay? I want you to be able to sleep tonight." Smiling a bit at that, she didn't shy away from him and let him kiss her, kissing back a bit.
Making sure she had everything with her, Peyton headed for the door, turning around to look at Jefferson again.
"Goodnight. And make sure you actually get some rest, okay?" That was really all she wanted from him. For him to sleep and not to worry all that much. It was a given that she would text, no, call him once she got back home; maybe she should even use the house phone to prove her point.
Frowning a bit, Peyton really didn't know how to put the counter of 'If I stay until morning I'll die' into a proper sentence. She really wasn't in the mood to have to explain herself towards Jefferson, nor anything else she said in that past for that matter. It would just take too long and get Jefferson restless about his own well being.
"I'd love to stay but I can't. I have work to do tomorrow." Which necessarily wasn't a lie. She definitely needed to start looking for employment again to actually help support the girls at home. That and she probably was going to have a rude awakening once she got home and the whole mess that'll be presented for her to clean up.
"Thank you for everything tonight, really." She continued, starting to get up and smiled down at Jefferson. The hospitality he showed was definitely appreciated by her along with everything else for the night.
