I think they asked him to go back, because they saw him suffer because he was appart from Bella, but they respect his choice, they don't push him to go back, just advise him...
And you? Do you think Esme or Carlisle ever asked Edward to go back to Bella, with how much he was hurting over her?

ur a mere daisy in a field of roses thats amazing ur the only person i know that could think of putting it that way and with the highway going 180mph and u can only go or handle 50 again brilliant really truely amazing
