Ah! So sorry for the late response!! Been busy lately!!

Hm. I believe that Bella's blood did *not* have to sing to him, but only..lit the spark, so-to-speak, of any relationship with her. He probably would not have been so curious right away, but surely, sitting next to her in Biology and not being able to read her mind would have made him curious about her. And he thought she was rather good looking after seeing her a lot. So, I suppose it did have a significance, but it didn't completely matter.
